Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

You Will Never Imprison the Mind...

Thoughts, feelings and emotions that hopefully provoke the purest of minds...Capturing thoughts through written words is like capturing pictures on film or digital camera.

It was once said by Mohanda K. Ghandi that "You can chain me, you can torture me, even destroy this body; but you will never imprison my mind." So eloquently put..a man of peace and tranquility...lived a life of sacrifice so that the world could follow his moral principles of peace and non-violence.

He devoted his life to gaining independence for India, but at the same time walked this Earth so that others could be free of oppression and suffering caused my imperialism and colonialism.

I find his wisdom so appealing as in today's world; we often resort to not peaceful means to solving problems but through the use of weapons to end conflicts. During the course of human history, suffering caused by natural calamities are less severe than those caused by humans on other humans in the name of religions, ideologies, oil, wealth, domination, races and territorial controls.

The suffering of men will only end if we seek to end it ourselves. The truth in all of our answers to life is within all of us and how we live our lives.

Our decision to live in peace or in war rests in all of us; but we must be able to overcome and eliminate the beast that is in all of us.

Will there be man like that of Ghandi walks this Earth again?
